This time on frametrax, we\u2019ll listen to the sometimes controversial, often parodied, and always entertaining, Danny Elfman.<\/p>\n

He came to prominence as the lead singer and primary songwriter for the\u00a0<\/span>new wave\u00a0<\/span>band\u00a0<\/span>Oingo Boingo\u00a0<\/span>in the early 1980s. Since scoring his first studio film in 1985, Elfman has garnered international recognition for composing over 100 feature\u00a0<\/span>film scores, as well as compositions for television, stage productions, and the concert hall.<\/p>\n

Elfman has frequently worked with directors\u00a0<\/span>Tim Burton,\u00a0<\/span>Sam Raimi, and\u00a0<\/span>Gus Van Sant, contributing music to nearly 20 Burton projects, including\u00a0<\/span>Pee-Wee\u2019s Big Adventure<\/i>,\u00a0<\/span>Beetlejuice<\/i>,\u00a0<\/span>Batman<\/i>,\u00a0Edward<\/span>\u00a0Scissorhands,\u00a0<\/span><\/i>and\u00a0<\/span>Wednesday<\/i>, as well as scoring Raimi\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>Darkman<\/i>,\u00a0<\/span>A Simple Plan<\/i>,\u00a0<\/span>Spider-Man<\/i>,\u00a0<\/span>Spider-Man 2<\/i>\u00a0<\/span>and\u00a0<\/span>Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness<\/i>,\u00a0<\/span>and Van Sant\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>Academy Award-winning films\u00a0<\/span>Good Will Hunting<\/i>\u00a0<\/span>and\u00a0<\/span>Milk<\/i>. He wrote music for all of the\u00a0<\/span>Men in Black<\/i>\u00a0<\/span>and\u00a0<\/span>Fifty Shades of Grey<\/i>\u00a0<\/span>franchise films, the songs and score for\u00a0<\/span>Henry Selick\u2019s animated\u00a0<\/span>musical\u00a0<\/span>The Nightmare Before Christmas<\/i>, and the\u00a0<\/span>themes\u00a0<\/span>for the popular television series\u00a0<\/span>Desperate Housewives<\/i>\u00a0<\/span>and\u00a0<\/span>The Simpsons<\/i>.<\/p>\n
